Our business philosophy is as unique and meaningful as our name. To understand this statement, you will need a bit of background information.
Several years ago when company founder and CEO, Greg Sands, was searching for a unique name for his 55-acre, North Georgia ranch, he called upon a memory from his childhood in rural Oklahoma. Amazingly, Greg could recall watching a pro-wrestler who hailed from a town called Mudlick, Greg knew if this name could stick with him for over 20 years, it must be a name anyone could remember.
With the ranch officially named, it was time to fulfill a promise Mr. Sands had made to his youngest daughter, Savannah—she could purchase a horse. Father and daughter began their search for a fine mount for the young girl, but to his surprise, she overlooked several suitable horses and was instead drawn to a small, sickly horse named Titan. With a great deal of skepticism, Mr. Sands purchased the horse and returned to the ranch. Daily medical attention and tender loving care turned the sickly Titan into a strong, healthy horse. The Sands family decided a portrayal of Savannah and her determined horse would be the perfect logo for Mudlick Ranch, the North Georgia retreat that gave them a reprieve from their busy everyday lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
When Mr. Sands, the owner of several successful auto repair stores across the country, began to pursue a more cost effective and efficient method of accomplishing his internal direct mail marketing, he turned to the advertising expertise of Tim Ross. Both men quickly realized they could develop a simplified direct mail program that would keep costs down and improve delivery execution. With this, Mudlick Mail was born. Mr. Sands named this new company after his ranch because both the ranch and the company represented a level of determination that proved anything is possible with hard work and focus.
Greg Sands and Tim Ross, Mudlick Mail president, have created a simple to implement, flat fee/turn-key program that offers its clients a cost effective and measurable marketing vehicle to reach their best customers. The company currently works with hundreds of shops around the country, specializing in providing targeted direct mail to the auto service and repair industry.
